  • Candice Wang

    Co-Founder / Executive Chef

    Shanghai-Ottawa-Paris.                                                      Chef Candice, the mastermind behind our exquisite dining experience, holds dual degrees from the University of Toronto, Rotman Commerce, and Le Cordon Bleu Paris. With a background working at Michelin-starred restaurants, she brings unparalleled expertise to her culinary creations. Influenced by her Chinese heritage and diverse Asian cuisines such as Sichuan, Japanese, Korean, and Thai. Chef Candice has been honing her skills since the age of six. Her unique fusion of Eastern and Western flavors, combined with her business acumen, ensures a dining experience that is both innovative and meticulously crafted.

    Co-Founder / Art Director

    Québec-London-Toronto.                                                      My journey began with a Bachelor’s degree in Studio Art from Concordia University and a Master’s degree in Textile Design from the University of Southampton. Driven by a passion for gastronomy, I pursued the Culinary Skills program at George Brown College's Chef School. My expertise spans Italian, Japanese, French, Korean, and Chinese cuisines, refined as a line cook at the Broadview Hotel. As a professional food photographer and textile designer, I blend my artistic and culinary skills to create visually stunning and delicious dishes. At La Monette, each plate reflects my dedication to combining food, photography, and design, offering an innovative dining experience.
